Chip Shot: Intel Releases New Intel® 9 Series Chipset with PC Platform Enhancements
Intel today officially announced the new Intel® 9 Series Chipset with support for current 4th generation Intel® Core processors including new “Haswell Refresh” enthusiast parts and future 5th generation Intel® Core processors (codenamed Broadwell). Two additional new features -- Intel® Rapid Storage Technology for PCI Express Storage and Intel® Device Protection Technology with Boot Guard provide platform performance and security enhancements.
